Aviva Arts launches Resonance, a global in-person retreat program.
Resonance Retreats take Aviva Arts’ practice of empathy, compassion and personal growth and our relationship to the natural world to the next level.
What would it look like to live the world you envision for the future now?
Resonance offers participants affinity spaces that re-align and re-tune our relationship to community, culture-building and our own inner purpose.
Light, movement, energy are all vibration.
Politics, society, digital communication often contribute to isolation, static energy, a feeling of stuckness and divisiveness. We make attempts to sound out our authentic selves (at work, home, with friends) but cannot make a connection. We are not receiving a signal back because outside systems are telling individuals to stay alert and fear others. This takes a lot of energy to maintain. We are tired and seek to numb ourselves in so many ways in order to cope in a system that doesn’t serve our true humanity
When we resonate, we are responding to intuition, inner knowing, the Great Mystery, our True North.
When we resonate we feel seen, acknowledged, a part of something greater than ourselves. To resonate with ourselves we return to a simple state of presence where we can move from authentic desire.
When we resonate we are making connection.
Connecting with people in our personal relationships, connecting with our true purpose and connecting with the more than human world. We recognize our interdependence on the journey of life, feel lighter, seen a sense of belonging. We remain present longer and yearn for the simplicity, the effortlessness of this state of being. It is only by resonating with the universe that we will ever begin to imagine new ways of being together, of gathering, of inclusivity systems of governance of play and joy and greater health.
It is in these systems that serve a capitalist and colonialist agenda (see Tema Okun, white supremacy culture for more on this) fear and othering are offered as solutions that uphold these systems but continue to oppress individuals and suppress ancient native knowledge and practices and erase individual story.
