Nicholas Rodrigues is a Filipino, queer multidisciplinary artist and arts administrator with over five years of experience in arts leadership and operations. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Orange County, he moved to the Bay Area to attend Santa Clara University, where he earned a B.S. in Accounting and a B.A. in Theatre Arts, with minors in Mathematics and American Musical Theatre.

Nicholas also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University and currently works as a marriage and family therapist, specializing in transitional age youth and LGBTQ+ affirming care. His clinical work is grounded in a deep commitment to culturally responsive, identity-affirming practices that support individuals in navigating growth, healing, and self-discovery.

As a performer, Nicholas has appeared on Bay Area stages as Freddy in My Fair Lady (San Francisco Playhouse) and Jean-Michel in Cinderella (Hillbarn Theatre), as well as in productions including Avenue Q, The View Upstairs (New Conservatory Theatre Center), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Bay Area Musicals), and American Idiot (Left Hand Theatre Company). Additional favorite roles include Lumière in Beauty and the Beast (Cabrillo Stage), Hunter in [title of show] (Los Altos Stage Company), Bernardo in West Side Story and Piragua Guy in In the Heights (City Lights Theatre Company).

Nicholas brings a unique blend of clinical insight, artistic passion, and operational expertise to his role at Aviva Arts. He is honored to support the organization’s mission of uplifting underrepresented voices and creating spaces where art, wellness, and community intersect.
